
Barring that, follow these step by step illustrated instructions to download your NaturePod onto your iPod
1 – First – Plug your iPod into your computer.
2 – Enable Your iPod – Now, open iTunes. Look for your iPod’s name under the “devices” list (the list is at the leftmost part of the iTunes window). Select your iPod.
Near the bottom of the iTunes window you will see “Options” listed. Make sure that the “Manually manage music and videos” option is NOT checked, and the “Enable disk use” option IS checked.

3 – Put “Movies” in your library list - Look at the upper left side of the iTunes window to find the list of libraries. If “Movies” is not included in the library list, select the “Edit” menu and then select “Preferences” (last item in menu).

Under the “General” tab, make sure “Movies” is checked (towards the top of the screen, under the library name). Click OK. When movies is checked, the “Movies” library will appear in the library list.

4 – Drag “Videos” into your Movies Library – Back in your iTunes Library, select “Movies.” Now, open your NaturePods CD or DVD. Open the “Videos” folder on the CD or DVD. In the menu bar, choose the menu “Edit” and then “Select All” (this can also be achieved by depressing the Ctrl+A keys). When all videos are highlighted drag them anywhere in the open iTunes Movie library window. Do this by dragging the files from the CD to the iTunes window and releasing the mouse. The NaturePod CD or DVD contains a large number of videos, so it may take a few minutes for all the files to transfer.

5 – Drag remaining folders into “Notes” – Now that the videos are in iTunes, let’s take advantage of the iPod’s “Notes” feature that will allow you to organize and quickly search for the video you want to watch.
Move back one window to the main NaturePods CD or DVD. When your iPod is connected it will also appear as a hard drive on your computer. If it is not already open, select the “Start” button at the lower left of the computer screen. Click on the “My Computer” icon/text and the window will open. Your iPod will likely be listed as a “Devices with Removable Storage.” Double click on the drive letter (e.g., G:) to open it. Using Shenandoah as an example – your program name may differ -drag the ” Shenvideo” folder and the ” Shenandoah PTGv” text file from the CD or DVD to the “Notes” folder in the iPod window.

6 – Sync Your Ipod – Now lets move back to the main iTunes window. Click on your iPod (under “Devices”). Select the “Movies” tab at the top of the screen. Make sure that under the “Sync movies” text that the button next to “All movies” is selected.
Select “Sync (iPod’s name) iPod” under the file menu. Alternatively, click on the “Summary” tab and click the “Sync” button (lower right corner of iTunes window). Since you will be receiving many pictures and great information, this sync may take a while. Go get a cup of tea.
7 – Detaching your iPod - Once the sync is complete, manually eject your iPod using the button to the right of the iPod’s name (listed on the left side of the screen, under “Devices”). The button to the right of the iPod’s name looks like an upward pointing arrow. Click on this arrow and the iPod will manually eject. Shutting down your computer will accomplish the same thing.
8 – Check your iPod for everything - Now look at your iPod. On your iPod’s Main Menu, make sure that “Notes” is listed. If it is not, select “Settings” and in “Main Menu” menu, find the “Extras” option. Under “Extras,” select the “Notes” option and make sure it is “on” or has a check mark next to it. Return to your iPod’s main menu.
If “Notes” is listed in your iPod’s main menu, click it to bring up the “Notes” menu. Click on the title “Shenandoah PTGv.txt” (or whichever program you purchased) This links to a searchable list of videos available on your NaturePod program. This is where you go to click on the video of your choice and it will begin playing.
Now go outside 8-) and begin enjoying your NaturePod Tour Guide or Field Guide. Remember, don’t just look…learn.
